Frequently asked questions

It’s good to ask questions.

You don’t need to know everything before getting in touch. Here are some of the questions people often ask when considering care.

Ask us directly ↗
Can I enquire about care for myself?

Yes. We welcome direct enquiries and want to hear about your own priorities, routines and preferred way of communicating.

Can a family member or friend contact you?

Yes. A family member, carer, advocate or friend can make an initial enquiry. The person receiving care should be appropriately involved in decisions and consent.

Do I have to know exactly what care is needed?

No. Tell us what feels difficult or what you are hoping to change. We can discuss the options and explain the next steps.

Does an enquiry guarantee support?

No. Any service depends on an appropriate discussion or assessment, suitability, location, staff availability and an agreed care plan.

Can children, younger adults and older adults enquire?

The CQC lists Osabea’s service specialisms across age groups including children (0–18), adults under 65 and older people. Availability and suitability must be confirmed for each enquiry.

Can I request information in a different format?

Please call or email and explain what would help—for example, having information read aloud or a simpler written explanation.

How do I check your CQC registration?

Visit the official Care Quality Commission location page. The service is registered for personal care but has not yet been inspected or rated.

How do I raise a concern?

You can contact the Osabea office and ask about the complaints process. You can also provide feedback about regulated care directly to CQC.
